This chair is made with certain classical windsor characteristics: The legs are mortised, slotted and wedged right through the seat. Leg angles are classical.

The basic spindle and crest are adaptations of traditional windsor design.

But the design is modern and influenced by the Japanese forms of George Nakashima.
